Kroger community rewards program

Shop at Krogers, Help the Church: "Community Rewards program" -- If you shop at Krogers, you can help the Church of the Good Shepherd. At your request Kroger's donates a percentage of what you spend using the Kroger's Plus Card to a non-profit of your choice. Many of you are doing this and this has become a HUGE help to the Church in fulfilling it's missions.

Two essentials are needed:

First, you must have a Kroger Plus Card. You most likely already have one. Before the Church sees any benefit you need to enroll (register the card) in the Community Rewards program.

If you don't have one, the Kroger Plus Card offers other advantages for you, especially fuel prices. One can sign up at the store or on-line. If you sign up on-line you create a "my account" which is needed later on anyway. Here is the on-line link to sign up for a card:

Second, you need a working email account. This is used to create a "my account" with Krogers. When signing up you can select options to keep things simple.

One must now re-enroll each year to keep a percentage of what you spend at Krogers coming to Good Shepherd. This is a new policy by Kroger and the yearly cycle starts April 1st. Though April 1st is long past you can still enroll for this season.

If you have previously enrolled in Community Awards and/or acquired a Plus Card on-line (e.g. have a "my account" with Krogers) the process is very easy.

Click the "re-enroll" in center of that page.
Log on (your email and password).
Update or confirm your information as needed and you may need the following:
Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, the Church number is 81439.

(When you put in the number 81439 the 'Church of the Good Sheperd...' will appear,
click button to confirm, then 'update' -- you are done.)

When the new page arrives go to the bottom of that page and click "enroll". This will take you to an account sign-in page. On the right will be a box for New Online Customers, at the bottom - click "Get started. Sign up today!". You will be asked for some information and preferences. You will need your Kroger Card number and a working email account -- see first steps above.

The basic scenario is as follows:

Click sign up today and follow the instructions.
Once you register your email address, you will receive a message in your email inbox (usually in a minute or two). Follow the link within the body of this email.
Click on My Account and use your email address and password to proceed to the next step.
Click on Edit Kroger Community Rewards information and input your Kroger Plus card number.
Update or confirm your information.
Enter name of organization (Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, the Church number is 81439) or select from list and click on confirm.

You are done!

Jack and I can work through this with you is on Sunday's during coffee time. Bring your Plus Card (if you do not have a card, we can get one on-line). If you have a Kroger account, know or bring your password and email address.

The next time you shop take a look at the bottom of your shopping receipt. If it looks like this (below) life is good and you are OK.
