The Ven. Dr. John Olayoriju Ogundimite former Visiting Priest at the Collation Service as an Archdeacon in Owo Diocese, Nigeria

We are working on this page but in the meantime you might be interested in our efforts to date.

In the recent past we have sent school supplies, musical instruments and financial support to an Episcopal school in Haiti.

After hurricane "Mitch" (October 1998) a number of parishoners collected donated medical supplies which were shipped to the Episcopal Church in Honduras.

Some members continue to assist financially the work of John Olayoriju Ogundimite in Nigeria (see photo above). "Father John" was Visiting Priest for the Church of the Good Shepherd while studying in Athens for his doctorate.

The following article that in the May/June 1994 Interchange describes some of the Church of Good Shepherd's African involvement, and work on behalf of some Haitian refugees.

In March 2000 the Church of the Good Shepherd sent a five-person delegation/work party to Honduras to assist in building an addition to the chapel of the newly formed San Matias congregation in the mountain villige town of La Laguna, near Siguatepeque. The in-country director for our group, Barbara Boghetich, a SAMS-USA missionary serving in Honduras visited Good Shepherd in December 2001. Here are some photographs: Honduras photographs (1) and Honduras photographs (2).
