The nave is simply finished with a small balcony (front entrance to building) and a large arch separating it from the chancel. The organ - a 1954 Aeolian Skinner instrument of 12 ranks, designed by G. Donald Harrison - is located on the right of the chancel, with the console on the opposite side. The altar is located along the back wall of the sanctuary (for some services a table is moved forward and used as the alter). |

This commons area on the lower floor was named as a sign of love for Julia J. Nehls, who has been a member of Good Shepherd for over fifty years and who has labored tirelessly in every leadership capacity. |

Bishop Black Chapel is used for the 8:00 a.m. Eucharists and other services. The wonderful altar piece was carved by John Rood who was a professor of Sculpture at Ohio University. Nehls Hall (already pictured), two small classrooms, a small office area, furnace room, storage areas, a full kitchen and public bathrooms are located on the lower floor, as well as the Bishop Black Chapel. |

The Bishop Hobson Lounge, used for meetings of many church committees, also contains a small library. Also located on this floor are three offices (for the rector, secretary, and music director) and a half bath. |
